VDarts H2 is home dart board that links up to your tablet or smart phone using Bluetooth technology. Your tablet is then used to play various games, cricket, count up, sniper, 01, etc via the VDarts app. This board also allows for online play, to challenge opponents across the world.
Purchase VDarts H2–Global Online Dartboard
This is part 3 of a 3 part review.
Online Play Experience
Online play is the reason why most people consider this dart board when researching what board to purchase. It’s the reason why I made the purchase. Oddly enough, you would think with things like XBox Live and computer gaming being mainstream and part of the household for over a decade, that we would have online dart boards 10 years ago. A little late to the game, but none the less it’s finally an option with more and more boards on the market.
Most of us experience online play only through bar machines such as DartsLive, Pheonix, G3, and a few others. So bar machine serves as a baseline and set’s expectations for a home online dart board.

The Good
Here’s what I like about the VDarts online gaming experience.
- Free to play! At least for now…
- Unified Lobby – I can’t see playing online without one. The lobby allows you to see everyone else online so you can challenge them and pick the game of your choice.
- Online game options
- 501 and change various options like double in/out, master out, etc..
- Standard Cricket
- Count Up
- Sniper
- Tic Tac Toe
- Lobby Player Status and info – it shows the player, their rating, and if they’re currently in a battle, and location
- Live stats of how you’re shooting in game
- Opponents misses – in cricket it especially helps to see where the dart landed even on a miss so you know what they’re attempting to hit
- Live video feed of opponent
- There’s a big enough pool players there’s usually at least 1 person in the lobby during the slowest times of the day
- Being online and displayed in the lobby while playing a single player game. This feature to me is awesome. I don’t want to wait in the lobby to play someone, it’s been nice being able to play a single player game like 01, and still receive an online challenge
- Audio ability. I don’t use this much, but it’s a nice option.
- An online Facebook group to discuss troubleshooting issues, cheaters, and tournaments
The Bad
- No rematch button, to play someone you have to always challenge in the lobby.
- Opponents video is too small. You’re opponents camera is displayed on a small square. So it helps to use a TV or a bigger monitor vs your phone or tablet.
- Pre-canned messages that can only be sent during the game only. After the game when you hit the stats page, you have no more communication with your opponent.
- 01 options setting – currently you select the 501 game, challenge your opponent, then an options page comes up to set the in/out options. I would rather set the game first, then challenge the opponent.
- No support for 2v2 online it’s only 1vs1. Hopefully this is something that can be added in the future.
Final Thoughts
There’s a lot to like about VDarts implementation of online game play. Some of the dislikes I had are fixable in the software. Overall I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in purchasing the VDarts H2 or H2L for online play.
