I had recently been experimenting with changing my dart setup, more specifically moving to a smaller flight, and possibly different barrel (I will do a separate post on my darts).  Today was the first time using them at a tournament, and after some adjustment I felt pretty good with them.

I played pretty good cricket all day, with a low of 3mpr and averaged of 3.89mpr and hight of 5.0mpr.  My 01 game is hit and miss as I’m still adjusting my throw and grip to these new darts.  I shot an average of 87.26ppr, and a high of 106.75ppr.  Overall it pushed my dartslive rating up from 11.82 to an estimated 12.42, almost half a point.

I did mention in a previous post that it’s a team game at these A/B draw tournaments, and that statement certainly held true yesterday.  I was playing decent darts enough to win, but my B side partner was always over matched against my opponents B side.  This altered my third leg decision making, I prefer cricket, but in this tournament I decided to always go 01 if/when we took a match to a third game.  The reasoning behind that was to make every dart count for my low side partner, in cricket that’s hard to do, but in 01 as long as you hit the board you’re making progress.
