Before matches had began, I was feeling pretty good.  I drew a decent partner, and I played a count up and almost beat my best (947) and hit a 931.  When it was all said and done, it was 1 – 2 – Bar B Que.

I shot terrible 01, and decent cricket.  This tournament is a double elimination, with each match being a 3 leg medley of 01-Cr-choice.  I went 0-2 each medley and couldn’t get a single win even though I did have opportunities to win each match.

It seemed like in each 01 game, I started off slow, made a comeback in the end, but it was just too late and they had first opportunity to close and did.  In both cricket matches, played pretty strong through out, but my opponents each time had monster rounds at the right time that changed the momentum of the game.  One of those momentum changing rounds was a 7 marker where we were ahead on points, we had 17’s to score, and our opponents only had 2 marks on 15.  Their power steps to the oche, hits 2 trip 15’s to put them ahead by about 60 points, then with last dart hit’s the 17 to close us out.  Then it comes a bull race at the end, and just like in 01 matches I couldn’t be consistent with bulls, only getting about 1 per round.

According to my DL stats (and i only played two 01 games and two crickets), for 01 I averaged 67.67 ppr for 01 with a high of 76.67 (really poor play on my part).  For cricket, I shot a 3.60 mpr each game.

Wasn’t the result I wanted, but still enjoyed a night of darts!
