Even thought I took 2nd place, I really felt good about how I played all night.  My cricket average for the night was 3.87 with a best of 4.8mpr.  My 01 stats were pretty decent too (for me at least) with an average of 96.86ppr with a best of 110.50ppr.

Magic (rate 11) and Mare Bear (rate 4) sent us to the losers bracket, and we climbed our way back up to meet them in the finals…which we then lost to them again, but at least taking it to a game 3 this time.  We had a chance, Magic wasn’t playing well, but Mare Bear played really well.

One of the highlights was with our first match against Skip (rt 8) and A-train (rt 6).  In the medley, they won the 01, we took the next game which was cricket.  It came down to the third leg, and I didn’t shoot well in the beginning.  I wish I wrote this post when it was fresh in my mind, but I just remember winning that game at the end coming back with bulls, spurred by a 5 mark round on the bulls by yours truly which put us ahead on points.  Since they were cruising through the game, that monster round changed the momentum and pressure was on them, all of a sudden they tightened up and couldn’t close out the game, while me and my partner cruised in for the win.  Never count yourself out of a game, it’s amazing how momentum and pressure can change in a single round.
